Siregar, an Indonesian Wrestling Champion who trains out of Bali MMA, started the match-up calmly and patiently. He traded punches and leg kicks with the striking specialist in the opening exchanges at the Baoshan Arena.

However, after 90 seconds, Siregar had seen enough. He launched into a strong takedown attempt, and drove the Cambodian Top Team product down to the canvas.

Once he had his opponent on the mat, the Indonesian did not let Soda back up. Siregar postured up and unloaded a barrage of ground strikes, with stiff punches and well-placed elbows finding their mark on the three-time National Kun Khmer Champion.

With Soda unable to adequately defend himself from his rival’s heavy ground and pound, referee Kemp Cheng had no choice but to intervene and spare the 29-year-old from any further damage. The contest was stopped the 2:30 mark of round one.

Siregar’s impressive win was even faster than his debut victory at ONE: GRIT & GLORY in May, where he submitted Dodi Mardian via rear-naked choke at the 3:59 mark of the opening stanza.

Now, with back-to-back first-round victories, the Jakarta native improves his professional mixed martial arts record to 2-0. Also, he is emerging as an athlete to watch in the coming months, as he bids to establish himself in the promotion’s talent-stacked strawweight division.
