Muangthai PKSaenchaimuaythaigym Joins ONE Super Series
Another one of Thailand’s elite Muay Thai strikers has been added to the ranks of ONE Super Series, as the all-striking league continues to grow at a rapid pace.
Muangthai PKSaenchaimuaythaigym (195-40-4) has officially joined the world’s largest martial arts organization.
The 24-year-old — known as “The Elbow Zombie” — is a Lumpinee Stadium World Champion, a Channel 7 Stadium Champion, and a Thailand Champion who is sure to make an impact in the near future.
Muangthai hails from the Buriram province in Northeastern Thailand, which is prolific in producing high-level talent.
The Muay Thai phenom started training at the Sitsornpichai camp when he was 7 years of age, and then he relocated to Bangkok three years later to train at the Sor.Boonyiem gym.
In 2012, he captured the Lumpinee Stadium World Championship at 108 pounds (49 kilograms), and ever since then he has been regarded as one of the foremost Nak Muay (Muay Thai practitioners) in the world.
Muangthai moved to PKSaenchaimuaythaigym the following year. Under the guidance of the legendary Saenchai, he has continued to thrive.
“The Elbow Zombie” claimed a Channel 7 Stadium Championship at 130 pounds (59 kilograms) in 2014, and a Thailand Championship at 135 pounds (61.25 kilograms) in 2017.
In addition to those titles, he has earned the prestigious “Best Fighter Of The Year 2014” award from the Sports Writers Association of Thailand, and he was named Lumpinee Stadium’s “Fighter Of The Year 2016-2017.”
Of most interest to the fans of ONE Championship, however, will be the fearless, entertaining style he brings to The Home Of Martial Arts.
Muangthai moves forward with reckless abandon, which makes for exciting battles regardless of the outcome. Also, as the nickname suggests, “The Elbow Zombie” has the most feared elbow strikes of any active Nak Muay today.
The list of athletes he has defeated with his fierce, close-range strikes is extensive. Now, he will look to use his elite skills to begin his climb towards a ONE World Championship.
Muangthai is another solid addition to the talent-rich roster, and his promotional debut should be announced very soon.
