Nearly six years away from ONE Championship did not slow down Victorio “Indra” Senduk.

On Saturday, 20 January, in front of raucous crowd at the Jakarta Convention Center, the Badung, Indonesia-based athlete picked up an impressive TKO win over fellow countryman Yohan “The Ice Man” Mulia Legowo in a catch weight affair at ONE: KINGS OF COURAGE.

His win did not come without some early adversity.

As soon as the contest started, Legowo rushed forward and immediately began looking for a grappling exchange with Senduk. The relentless attack paid off, with “The Ice Man” landing a big takedown before transitioning to the mount, where he began battering his opponent with punches and elbows. Legowo finally tried for a submission rather than the ground strikes, but the move backfired after “Indra” slipped out of a deep armbar attempt.

Right then and there, the tide turned dramatically.

Once he worked free from the submission, Senduk blasted Legowo with punches and hammer fists. He did not let up, and it looked as if referee Yuji Shimada was about to stop the contest. But he ran out of time in the opening round.

With Legowo’s conditioning already fading, Senduk poured on the punishment in the second frame, and nearly ended the bout with a huge knee strike. Finally, Senduk’s punches were just too much for “The Iceman” to absorb any longer, prompting the TKO 57 seconds into round number two.

The win keeps Senduk undefeated in his professional career and moves him to 6-0. But what is even more impressive is that he returned to the ONE cage after nearly six years away, and looked like he did not miss a beat. Now Senduk will look to make 2018 his year after kicking things off with a spectacular TKO.
