About Aaron Canarte
When Aaron Canarte was 18 years old, he traded in a pair of soccer cleats for Muay Thai gloves, and what followed was a journey through martial arts that took him from Ecuador all the way to ONE Championship.
After spending some time learning Muay Thai, he transitioned to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It was then he realized what was possible for his future. With that, he dedicated almost every free hour to honing his striking and grappling skills for MMA.
Eventually, and with the support of his mother and father, Canarte left school and work to make MMA his sole focus. His dedication began paying off in 2020. In the Ecuadorian’s professional MMA debut, he starched his opponent in the opening round via TKO.
In his second bout, Canarte proved he had a ground game to match his striking skills, as he submitted his next opponent via arm-triangle. What followed were eight more victories, of which only four made it to the final bell.
After showcasing his skills to fans in South America over the last three years, Canarte entered ONE with a flawless 10-0 record and an unwavering drive to showcase Ecuador as the next hotbed for MMA talent.
