About Adi Paryanto
Status: Former ONE Athlete
Indonesian National Sanda Champion Adi Paryanto is originally from Purwodadi, a village in Central Java. Throughout his entire career, he has constantly moved back and forth between his hometown and Jakarta in order to balance training and competing with his family life. His unusual nickname “Zenwalk” is derived from a software program he often used as an IT student and engineer.
Paryanto successfully transitioned from sanda to mixed martial arts, making his professional debut in 2016 in a regional Indonesian promotion and winning his first three bouts. He would later make it to the finals of the OPMMA Strawweight Tournament, where he came up short in a bid for the promotion’s vacant Strawweight title.
After bouncing back with a first-round submission, he made his ONE debut as a short-notice replacement in January 2019, but fell short against former training partner Aziz Calim. Now looking for redemption on the global stage, he is eager to show the world what he can do with a full training camp to prepare.
