About Antonio Plazibat
Status: Former ONE Athlete
Despite his young age, Antonio Plazibat has already risen to the top of the striking world, having defeated three elite opponents in a single night – two of them by first-round knockout – to win the K-1 World Grand Prix 2017 Heavyweight Championship.
It is no surprise, given that Croatia’s Plazibat was always an outstanding athlete. After all, at the age of 18, he was already an impressive physical specimen who weighed 110 kg. As a youth, he loved high-adrenaline sports, so he was instantly hooked as soon as he tried boxing and kickboxing. He proved to be immensely talented, dominating his way across the amateur ranks before making his professional debut in 2013.
In just three short years, Plazibat won a national kickboxing championship in Croatia, and turned his attention to elite international competition. He has since racked up an impressive record, with half of his wins coming by way of knockout, to earn a place among the world’s best strikers in ONE Super Series.
