About Ashley Williams
Ashley Williams joined the world’s largest martial arts organization with two goals in mind — to capture the heart of the global Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community and a ONE World Title.
Born and raised in Swansea, Wales, Williams began his journey in martial arts at 6 years old, starting with Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, judo, and kickboxing. By 2007, he discovered BJJ and, along with his twin brother, quickly developed a passion for the sport.
Williams achieved significant success in the no-gi circuit. Although he has yet to capture a World Title, he secured victories at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation European No-Gi Open in 2016 and 2022.
He has also excelled in submission-only events such as the Eddie Bravo Invitational, Polaris, GrappleFest, and Kasai Pro. Notably, he won the ADCC European Trials in 2021, earning a spot at the prestigious ADCC World Championship.
Now part of ONE Championship’s featherweight submission grappling division, Williams want to collect gold and prove he does indeed belong with the elite of the sport.
