“Mini T” Danial Williams

Danial Williams found solace in fighting after feeling like an outcast during his childhood.  

Born to a Thai mother and an Australian father living in Perth, the young boy of mixed heritage failed to fit in with his peers. Williams, though, still excelled in multiple sports and was also one of the smartest kids in his class.  

By the time he reached age 10, “Mini T” found a love for music and played the guitar, citing Nirvana, Metallica, and The Offspring as his biggest influences. But the allure of combat sports, particularly Muay Thai, was just too hard to pass up.  

While his parents did everything they could to give Williams and his brother a comfortable life, he was never comfortable asking for handouts.

Eager to learn more about “the art of eight limbs,” he dreamed of flying to Thailand and even training with his uncle, who was a Muay Thai competitor. The Aussie took jobs cleaning windows to save money and, eventually, he traveled to the birthplace of Muay Thai. 

The rest, as we now know, is history.  

“Mini T” achieved great success, becoming a two-time Caged Muay Thai Super Bantamweight Champion and a WMC Muay Thai World Champion. He also compiled a 24-7 record in the striking arts before making his ONE Championship debut in April 2021. 

Although he lost to Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a three-round thriller, “Mini T” endeared himself to fans with his electric fighting style. In fact, the bout was so exciting, it was voted the Fight of the Year.  

Williams rebounded in 2022, focusing his attention on MMA and rattling off a trio of victories to establish himself among the stacked strawweight MMA division’s elite. 

Alongside his MMA exploits, he has also challenged for ONE Kickboxing World Titles in two weight classes, showing off the multi-faceted fighting skill set that he hopes will eventually land him an elusive 26-pound gold ONE Championship belt.
