About Daniel Puertas
Daniel Puertas discovered martial arts as a teenager in his native home country of Spain, first practicing the discipline of judo before moving on to kickboxing. He loved the striking sport so much that he nicknamed himself “Dekkers” after the legendary Dutchman Ramon Dekkers.
As a professional kickboxer, Puertas earned two ISKA Kickboxing World Championships and four other titles while competing in international all-striking promotions, making a name for himself both in Eurpoe and Asia as a devastating puncher. In fact, he was able to score nearly a third of his 31 wins by knockout before being called to The Home of Martial Arts.
In 2021, Puertas signed with ONE and faced top-ranked Thai superstar Panpayak Jitmuangnon in his first promotional clash. Although he came up short against the seasoned striker, he battled valiantly for the entire nine minutes, earning the respect of ONE’s global fan base and the flyweight kickboxing division.
Puertas now hopes to climb his way to the top of the ONE roster and bring the coveted ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship back to Spain.
