Dante Leon

Canadian powerhouse Dante Leon has all the skills, athleticism, and mental fortitude to become ONE’s next submission grappling superstar.

A two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion with notable victories across multiple weight classes, the Pedigo Submission Fighting representative has spent the past several years cementing himself as one of the planet’s most consistently successful Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors.

After being introduced to BJJ at the age of 12, Leon went on to conquer many of the sport’s biggest colored belt tournaments, including a juvenile World Title as a blue belt, as well as a no-gi World Title as a brown belt. 

In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of black belt and quickly became a mainstay of the elite competition scene, winning gold at the IBJJF No-Gi Pan-American and American National Championships in his first year at the highest level. He followed that up with gold medal performances at the 2019 and 2022 IBJJF No-Gi World Championships.

Never one to shy away from a challenge, Leon is perhaps best known for his successes against significantly larger opponents. While his natural weight class is around 170 pounds, he was a 2023 IBJJF No-Gi Pan-American Champion at super-heavyweight (215 pounds).

What’s more, at the prestigious 2024 ADCC World Championships, he enjoyed one of the most impressive runs through the absolute division the event has ever seen, defeating ADCC World Champions Mica Galvao and Giancarlo Bodoni to claim bronze.

Stylistically, Leon is one of the sport’s most well-rounded submission hunters. Whether he’s attacking leg locks from his vaunted reverse De La Riva guard or employing his relentless guard passing from the top position, the immensely powerful Canadian is a serious threat from any position.

Leon now has his sights set on submission grappling gold in ONE and all the global fame and acclaim that would come along with it.
