Hiroyuki “Japanese Beast” Tetsuka

Former Pancrase Welterweight Champion Hiroyuki Tetsuka was born into a farming family, and he continues to help his loved ones on the farm while juggling a successful MMA career.

Tetsuka trained in kickboxing for two years during his time as a student, but he was unable to get the results he desired. However, a passion for martial arts was ignited, and he decided to travel to the United States to pursue a career as an MMA fighter. There, he gained valuable experience training with famed veteran Chael Sonnen, and he kicked off his amateur career competing in the American Pacific Northwest. 

After two years of training and competing in the U.S., Tetsuka returned home to Japan and went pro. Following a successful debut in November 2015, “Japanese Beast” continued to build up his skills and claim more victories, the biggest being a first-round submission win to capture the Pancrase Welterweight Title in June 2019.

Tetsuka then signed with ONE Championship, where he has become a mainstay in the promotion’s welterweight mixed martial arts division.
