About Joey Pierotti
Status: Former ONE Athlete
COGA Welterweight Champion Joey “Mama’s Boy” Pierotti wasn’t a naturally-gifted athlete as a child, but with an outstanding work ethic and a lot of support from his mother, he was able to excel in football, wrestling, and other sports growing up.
Pierotti always dreamed of being a professional athlete, and he tried his hand at mixed martial arts as a fun way to stay in shape between wrestling seasons. He went on to build an undefeated amateur record, eventually realizing that he had a real future in a sport that could be the pathway to achieving his dreams. After turning professional in 2016, he quickly compiled a 12-1 professional record with 11 stoppage wins, capturing numerous titles in regional promotions along the way.
Pierotti relies on his excellent cardio and extensive wrestling background to employ a gritty, dominating style that wears down opponents and breaks their wills, leaving them vulnerable to finishes. Now that he’s on the global stage of ONE Championship, he is determined to add the ONE Welterweight World Title to his list of accomplishments.
