Karim “The Surgeon” Bennoui

Karim Bennoui is a well-traveled veteran of Muay Thai and kickboxing, and his extensive fighting experience will hold him in good stead on the global stage of ONE Championship.  

“The Surgeon” was born in Lyon, France, to an ethnically Algerian family, and his younger brother, Houcine, is also a fighter. 

Under highly regarded coach Nasser Kacem, Bennoui started training in Muay Thai at the age of 10 at Team Nasser K. The accomplished striker now splits his time between his original base and the talent-laden Team Mehdi Zatout in Pattaya, Thailand. 

In more than 20 years in the sport, 15 of which have been spent in the professional ranks, he has racked up more than 60 fights all over Asia and Europe. 

The Frenchman’s storied career has yielded reigns as the ISKA Kickboxing World Champion, marking him as one of the best strikers on the European scene. 

Bennoui’s consistency in taking on — and beating — some of the continent’s best fighters has landed him on the ONE roster, where he has a huge opportunity to make a splash on debut against Thai legend Seksan Or Kwanmuang at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video on November 3.
