About Li Zhe
Status: Former ONE Athlete
One of the most talented young grapplers in Chinese mixed martial arts today, Li Zhe’s outstanding submission skills have made him the first prospect from ONE Hero Series to make it to the global stage of ONE Championship.
It has been a meteoric rise for Li, who only began training in mixed martial arts in 2016 at Longyun MMA under Chinese legend Jiang Long Yun. He jumped into his first bout just six months later, and made a perfect start to his professional career with a first-round submission.
His success on the competitive Chinese scene brought him to the attention of ONE Hero Series, where he squared off against the brightest prospects in the country for a spot on the ONE Championship roster. Three highlight-reel finishes later, his dream has come true, and he will now pursue his new goal of becoming the ONE Strawweight World Champion.
