Chinese striking star Ma Xu Dong competes out of the SHLC fight and Fitness Training Center in

Xi’an, where he trains with the likes of fellow ONE Championship athlete Yang Fei. He began his martial arts training in the Chinese Army, but over the last two years he has evolved into a Sanda stylist who is also an active professional kickboxer.

Using a mix of traditional and new-school striking techniques, Ma soon compiled five impressive wins in regional mixed martial arts promotions. This brought him to the attention of ONE Championship, and he made his promotional debut in July 2018 at ONE: BATTLE FOR THE HEAVENS, stepping in as a short-notice replacement to face compatriot Zhao Zhi Kang.

After putting on a spirited and entertaining performance, Ma’s competitive fire is burning brighter than ever. He now looks to continue delivering spectacular shows on the global stage for martial arts, and attain international recognition for his skills.
