About Mite Yine
Status: Former ONE Athlete
Two-time Lethwei Gold Belt Champion Mite Yine is from Payathonzu, and was a poor student as a child. Hence, he began to work as a farmer from an early age, deciding to move to Hpa-An when he was 19 years old to pursue his lethwei dreams.
Mite Yine has since competed more than 50 times in lethwei, reaching the pinnacle of Myanmar’s foremost striking art by winning two 57kg Gold Belt Championships, and a Gold Medal at the Southeast Asian Games along the way.
He currently trains at Shwe Phuu Lethwei Club alongside fellow ONE athlete Saw Thar Nge in preparation of his ONE debut, and has been diligently working on bringing his grappling up to speed with his elite striking. He is excited to have the opportunity to represent lethwei on the global stage of ONE Championship, and take his martial arts dreams to the next level as a professional.
