About Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat
Five-time WMF Muay Thai Champion Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat is a fourth-generation martial artist who first started training in martial arts at the age of 6, continuing a longtime family tradition.
He went on to earn a black belt in traditional Vietnamese martial arts but would later switch his focus fully to Muay Thai.
In addition to his accolades in the WMF organization, Nguyen also won a gold medal in Muay Thai at the 2009 Asian Indoor Games as the first Vietnamese athlete to ever do so.
He has since competed under many different rule sets, including boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai, and he skillfully incorporates techniques from each into his own unique style.
Nguyen runs his own gym in Ho Chi Minh City called No.1 Muay Club, named after the English translation of his first name. He feels deeply honored by the opportunity to represent his family, teammates, and most importantly, all of Vietnam on the global stage of ONE Championship.
