Kelvin “Ice Man” Ong

Status: Former ONE Athlete

Kota Kinabalu BJJ Champion Kelvin Ong is the eldest of three children, and has been helping his single mother with her food stand since he was a child in order to support their family. His martial arts journey began by chance when he followed a friend to lesson at the famed Borneo Tribal Squad, and it would ignite a passion within him that he had never known.

Training under Malaysian combat sports veteran AJ Lias Mansor alongside the likes of Malaysian hero Ann Osman, Ong rebuilt his whole life around martial arts. He is immensely dedicated to his budding professional mixed martial arts career, and sleeps just a few hours a night, waking up at 2am every morning just to get ready for work at their family’s stall before training throughout the day.
