About Regian Eersel

ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion Regian “The Immortal” Eersel represents the famed Sityodtong Amsterdam Muay Thai camp.

He’s originally from Suriname, a former Dutch colony in South America, but his family moved to Amsterdam when he was 4 years old for better opportunities. He first began his martial arts journey by training in taekwondo at the age of 8, having taken up the discipline for self-defense and to burn off extra energy.

After experiencing success in taekwondo competition and amateur kickboxing, Eersel decided to turn professional. Ultimately, it turned out to be one of the best decisions of his life.

Renowned for making full use of his long limbs to land kicks and flying knees, “The Immortal” has built a reputation as an incredibly exciting talent to watch. Eersel claimed the inaugural ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title in May 2019 and later captured the division’s inaugural Muay Thai gold in October 2022.

After ruling over the lightweight kickboxing division for five years, Eersel lost his belt in April 2024. “The Immortal,” however, remains the lightweight Muay Thai division’s king.
