About Roberto Soldic
Roberto “Robocop” Soldic has been touted as one of the biggest European MMA fighters on the planet for almost a decade, and he wants to back that case on the grandest stage of them all – ONE Championship.
The Croatian superstar’s first venture into martial arts came through judo while he was still a young boy. However, at that time, there weren’t any proper training facilities for the youngster to maximize his potential back home. Still, with the little he had and an unwavering spirit to become the best, he continued to train to achieve his goal.
During that same period, Soldic worked on other aspects of his arsenal, familiarizing himself with boxing and MMA. The latter, of course, was something that attracted him from the get-go. The welterweight soon decided to relocate to Dusseldorf, Germany, to become his nation’s top MMA superstar. There, “Robocop” became a member of the UFD Gym, a place he still calls home today.
UFD Gym provided the young talent with everything he needed to make it big – training partners, world-class coaches, and elite facilities. In 2014, he made a winning start to his professional MMA journey with a second-round knockout.
Soldic’s enormous power was something that instantly caught everyone’s eye. “Robocop’s” penchant for knockouts did not end there, however. His professional resume now boasts 17 knockouts from 20 wins. Also, his 90 percent finishing rate helped him claim welterweight and middleweight gold in KSW – Europe’s largest MMA promotion.
After spending most of 2022 negotiating with other MMA leagues, the man ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong declared “the hottest free agent on the planet today” decided to put pen to paper with the world’s largest martial arts organization.
Now, Soldic has his eyes on the ONE Welterweight MMA World Title, and he’ll stop at nothing to achieve that goal.
