About Sagetdao Petpayathai
Status: Former ONE Athlete
Multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion Sagetdao Petpayathai enjoyed a typically modest upbringing, with his parents working odd jobs to support him and his two siblings. However, his life would change forever after his uncle brought him to a local Muay Thai gym when he was 7 years old.
After seven years competing successfully on the provincial circuit, he moved to Bangkok, where he would grow to capture the most prestigious championships in the sport multiple times, including Rajadamnern, Lumpinee, and WBC world titles. In 2014, Sagetdao retired from Muay Thai competition, having accomplished all that he set out to achieve.
In the same year, he moved to Singapore to join the stable of world-class trainers at Evolve MMA. There, he has been focusing on adapting his elite striking for the cage, as well as improving on his ground game in search of a new challenge. He made a successful ONE debut in 2017 in front of his countrymen in Thailand, and has now embarked on another quest for World Championship gold with several knockout victories.
