Sanzhar “Tornado” Zakirov

Strawweight MMA standout Sanzhar Zakirov is one of the brightest prospects to come out of the martial arts hotbed of Uzbekistan in recent years. 

“Tornado” left a trail of destruction across the regional circuit, and he now has global superstardom in his sights. 

Zakirov went undefeated fighting across Europe and Central Asia, with only one of his opponents making it to the final bell. 

His outstanding form piqued the interest of ONE Championship in 2023, and he quickly set the weekly ONE Friday Fights series on fire with three straight victories including a pair of crushing knockouts. 

The impressive performances scored him a six-figure contract with the promotion in 2024, marking him as a fighter to watch in the stacked strawweight MMA division.
