Saw Min Min is from Thaton, in Myanmar’s southern Mon state. He professes he enjoyed a regular Myanmar childhood, and did not begin his martial arts training until 2016 when he took up lethwei as a hobby.
He turned out to be a talented study, quickly establishing himself as a top talent to watch with an undefeated record. Upon receiving the call to compete at ONE: LIGHT OF A NATION in June 2017, Saw Min Min jumped at the chance to showcase lethwei on the global stage, and immediately began rounding out his elite striking with ground techniques.
Saw Min Min put those skills to good use, dispatching two opponents in a single night to claim the ONE Myanmar Flyweight Tournament Championship. Both wins came via first-round finish, and even included a guillotine choke submission that highlighted how quickly he picks up new skills.
