Sovannahry “The Sweet Savage” Em

Status: Former ONE Athlete

Sovannahry Em is of Cambodian descent, but was born in Long Beach, which is part of metropolitan Los Angeles in California, USA. Raised single-handedly by her mother, Em developed maturity, a strong sense of responsibility, and a phenomenal work ethic at an early age, as she grew up having to take care of her younger siblings.

When she was 20 years old, Em’s life changed when she was introduced to a local boxing gym by a friend, and immediately fell in love with combat sports. Although she initially started training just for fun and personal development, her hard work and talent led her coaches to convince Em to try her hand at competition. Em then earned several championships in different disciplines, inevitably leading to a career as a professional mixed martial artist.

Em then translated all her early success into the cage, finishing her first two opponents in under two minutes combined to kick off her budding career in perfect fashion. Training alongside some of the best female athletes in North America, she is determined to make the most of her opportunity to compete in ONE Championship, and is fully focused on her goal of becoming a ONE World Champion.
