Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion Toni Tauru hails from Finland, and began training martial arts as a teenager when he was serving as a sniper with the military. After a rocky start to his professional mixed martial arts career, he authored an incredible career resurgence to establish himself as one of the top bantamweights in Europe.

Tauru put together a sensational ten-fight winning streak, registering submission wins over seven opponents in a row. In doing so, he claimed the Cage Warriors Bantamweight Championship and earned a place on the ONE Championship roster.

His promotional debut was not an easy one, as he made an unsuccessful bid for the legendary Bibiano Fernandes’ ONE Bantamweight World Championship. However, Tauru soon bounced back with an impressive submission win over fellow contender Geje Eustaquio, and now continues his quest for ONE Championship gold.
