About Yodsanan Sityodtong
Status: Former ONE Athlete
WBA Boxing World Champion Yodsanan Sityodtong hails from Srisaket in the North East of Thailand, and started out competing in Muay Thai before being encouraged to take up boxing by a trainer at the Sityodtong camp in Pattaya. It proved to be one of the best decisions he ever made, as he went on to become one of the best boxers the country of Thailand has ever produced.
Yodsanan made his professional boxing debut in 1993, and won eight of his first nine bouts. Two years, later he embarked on an incredible winning streak which saw him go undefeated for an entire decade, capturing the WBA 130-pound world title and successfully defending it three times.
Yodsanan retired from boxing with an incredible 58-3-1 record, with 46 knockout wins earning him the nickname of “Little Tyson.” He then made a successful transition to the cage at ONE Championship’s inaugural event in 2011, and recently embarked on a three-bout winning streak with stunning knockout victories.
