3 Bouts That Could Steal The Show At ONE Fight Night 7

Andre Stoica throws a kick at Giannis Stoforidis at ONE 156

ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II on Prime Video is headlined by a pair of World Title fights in MMA and Muay Thai, but the rest of the card is sure to deliver thrills from top to bottom.

Set for this Friday, February 24, the U.S. primetime event is loaded with high-action, high-paced martial arts contests that shouldn’t be missed.

Those battles feature everything from giant strikers to rising stars and established contenders competing in matchups that are designed to produce fireworks.

As we look ahead to Friday, here are three such fights that could steal the show at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Andrei Stoica Vs. Francesko Xhaja

Jaw-shattering strength will be on full display when European heavy hitters Andrei Stoica and Francesko Xhaja enter the ring for their light heavyweight kickboxing clash.

Aptly named “Mr. KO,” Stoica is a former ONE World Title challenger with dynamite in both his hands and feet.

The 6-foot-2 Romanian knockout artist comes into this bout following a victory over Giannis Stoforidis and will look to score a sensational finish as he aims for another shot at divisional gold.

But standing in his way will be Albanian brawler Xhaja.

After a tough outing in his ONE debut, the 6-foot-4 striker will be fighting with his back against the wall, hoping to prove to fans around the world that he and his massive punching power are here to stay.

Saemapetch Fairtex Vs. Zhang Chenglong

Earlier on the card, all-action scrappers Saemapetch Fairtex and Zhang Chenglong will do their best to put on a show in their bantamweight kickboxing showdown.

With more than 120 career victories, Thai standout Saemapetch is experienced, crafty, and lightning-fast – a true buzzsaw of a striker who’s capable of ending the fight with a variety of weapons.

That all-around style should make for some blistering exchanges when he meets fearless Chinese phenom Zhang.

The 25-year-old is a former ONE Kickboxing World Title challenger who loves to close the distance in explosive fashion, lunging in behind flurries of thunderous punches and kicks.

Simply put, the battle between these two elite competitors has the stylistic makings of a barnburner that no fan will want to miss.

Zelang Zhaxi Vs. Adrian Mattheis

Speed will be on the menu when strawweight MMA warriors Zelang Zhaxi and Adrian Mattheis try to cook up an instant classic in the opening bout of the evening.

A product of ONE Hero Series, the 24-year-old Zelang is one of the most promising young fighters to come out of China in the past few years, thanks in large part to his preternatural speed and dynamic striking.

He hopes to establish himself among the division’s elite with a victory, but Matteis will bring his own blazing-fast hands and knockout power to the equation. A longtime star in ONE, “Papua Badboy” is aiming to crack the strawweight top-five with a strong showing at ONE Fight Night 7.

Look for both athletes to fight tooth and nail in this scrap that could end in a wide variety of ways but promises to produce furious action for as long as it lasts.
