ONE Championship is set for another glorious event in the bustling Indonesian capital of Jakarta in just a few weeks.

The world’s largest martial arts organization will hold its upcoming spectacle ONE: GRIT & GLORY at the Jakarta Convention Center on Saturday, 12 May. In the main event, ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva will defend his belt against former titleholder Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito in a rematch of their December clash.

Although the headline bout is a tilt between top-notch submission specialists, there are a plethora of knockout artists competing on the 11-bout card. With that in mind, here are four of the most impressive KOs from the stars who will be featured at ONE: GRIT & GLORY.

Vitaly Bigdash’s Middleweight World Title Win

Vitaly Bigdash wants nothing more than to recapture the ONE Middleweight World Championship.

The Russian’s crowning moment two and a half years ago still serves as one of the most entertaining bouts in martial arts history.

In October 2015, Bigdash made his promotional debut at ONE: TIGERS OF ASIA, when he challenged then-reigning ONE Middleweight World Champion Igor Svirid for the world title.

At first, things looked bleak for Bigdash. The Kazakh titleholder rocked him multiple times in the first round with explosive punches, and unleashed a melee of ground and pound that nearly ended the contest. The Russian showed remarkable resilience, however. He weathered the storm, swept Svirid onto his back, and rode out the remainder of the opening round in top position.

Just moments into the second round, Bigdash changed the course of the bout completely. He put his dangerous adversary down with a knee, and knocked him out with a series of ground punches to capture the ONE Middleweight World Title. It was one of the best comebacks in ONE history, and the finest win of the Russian’s illustrious career.

After losing the belt to Aung La N Sang in June 2017, Bigdash wants to reclaim what he feels belongs to him. Before that happens, he will need to get past a former world title challenger at ONE: GRIT & GLORY.

Leandro Ataides’ KO Of The Year 2016

Brazil’s Leandro Ataides is a five-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion known for his incredible submission prowess, but he has also authored some truly incredible knockouts in his career.

Of all the knockouts on the Brazilian’s incredible resume, none compare to the one he delivered to Egypt’s Mohamed “Flex” Ali in their December 2016 showdown at ONE: AGE OF DOMINATION.

This middleweight contest began with Ali aggressively pushing forward, throwing massive punches in the Brazilian’s direction. Despite this onslaught, Ataides kept his cool. He carefully picked his shots, then ended the round with a huge takedown and a judge-pleasing spell in top control.

Early in the second round, an increasingly confident Ataides wobbled his foe with a thunderous counter right hand. Though it was clear the Egyptian was hurt, the Brazilian showed patience, and refused to get reckless in his hunt for the finish.

Ataides continued to soften his adversary with leg kicks and counterpunches, as he carefully watched for his opening. With just six seconds left in the frame, he found that opening, and leaped into the air to remove his rival’s batteries with an incredible flying knee. The blow dropped Ali instantly, and became the Knockout Of The Year 2016.

Victorio Senduk’s Thunderous Return

Indonesian kickboxing and wushu specialist Victorio “Indra” Senduk is the owner of a flawless record, having won all six of his professional bouts in convincing fashion.

Senduk’s produced his latest masterpiece in January, in front of a capacity crowd at the Jakarta Convention Center, at ONE: KINGS OF COURAGE. He returned from a five-year hiatus to face fellow countryman Yohan Mulia “Ice Man” Legowo, and reminded people that he is still an incredible martial artist.

Although “Indra” was taken down and mounted early in this contest, he was able to reverse position, and land effective ground strikes to close out the first round. He returned for the second with a vengeance, putting his foe away with a volley of strikes against the fence less than a minute after the stanza had started.

Senduk puts his undefeated record and glistening stand-up reputation on the line against Kun Khmer specialist Sor Sey, in a compelling featherweight affair at ONE: GRIT & GLORY.

Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol’s TKO In January

Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol is on a roll.

After a slow start to her mixed martial arts career, the Indonesian national wushu champion turned over a new leaf to begin 2018. She kicked off her fresh start against Malaysia’s Audreylaura “Ice Comet” Boniface at ONE: KINGS OF COURAGE this past January, and used her striking expertise to perfection.

In this women’s atomweight bout, Boniface was aggressive from the opening bell. She briefly push-kicked Lumban Gaol to the mat, and continued to apply pressure when she returned to her feet.

As the round wore on, however, the Indonesian began to show off her world-class striking repertoire, and used it to end the encounter. She put her adversary down with a trio of high kicks, followed by a salvo of follow-up punches.

Lumban Gaol earned her first victory inside the ONE cage, and scored a second win in February. She goes for the hat trick in May, when she collides with talented Filipina Rome “The Rebel” Trinidad.
