4 Reasons Why You Cannot Miss ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH

ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao

This Friday, 6 September, ONE Championship will break new ground as ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH descends on Ho Chin Minh City in Vietnam.

There are dozens of reasons to look forward to this groundbreaking show in “The Land Of The Blue Dragon” – including each of the 14 match-ups on the card, but these are the top four things that should keep you glued to the action in the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium.

#1 History In The Making

The atmosphere in the arena should be spectacular as combat sports fans in Vietnam finally get to welcome a ONE event to their country.

Ho Chi Minh City will experience a truly historic occasion as the biggest martial arts show their nation has ever seen comes to its most populous city.

The noise from the passionate fans is sure to drive the athletes to put on some sensational performances, but none more so than the men and women with Vietnamese blood running through their veins.

Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen, Michael “The Beast From The East” Pham, Chris Nguyen, Nguyen Thanh Tung, and “No.1” Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat will all be inspired to earn the biggest wins of their careers by the roar of the partisan crowd.

#2 Nothing But Stand-Up Action

If you are mad about an all-out striking battle, then ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH is the event for you because all 14 match-ups are Muay Thai and kickboxing encounters.

This will be the first-ever ONE event filled with nothing but ONE Super Series bouts, and that means every one should deliver fast and furious action as the athletes attempt to score a knockout or make an impression on the judges in just three, three-minute rounds (except for the main event, which can go an extra two rounds).

Many of these will also be contested in 4-ounce gloves, which means there will be even more opportunity for a dramatic finish when these men and women throw hands. One false move and their night could be over in a flash.

#3 Battle To Be The World’s Best At Bantamweight

Unless you are a Vietnamese fan inside the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium full of national pride for the local heroes on the bill, no match should get martial arts aficionados more hyped than the main event.

The headline attraction at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH will see Nong-O Gaiyanghadao attempt to defend his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title for the second time and strengthen his status as one of the greatest ever practitioners of “the art of eight limbs.”

Every time the Evolve representative has performed in ONE, he has put on a masterful performance, and he will have to once again to take out a young, hungry challenger.

Brice “The Truck” Delval will arrive in Vietnam as the underdog, but the 20-year-old is a World Champion with a ton of slick techniques that could give the Thai master a world of trouble if he does not bring his A-game.

#4 A Legion Of New Superstars On The Global Stage

A total of 15 ONE debutants will be part of the card in Ho Chi Minh City, but just because they are new to the global stage, do not think that they are not highly accomplished.

Many of these athletes have experienced tremendous success as World Champions before now, and they will only add more depth to the roster, and excitement to the cards.

Some of the heroes to look out for include smooth-operating Azize “The Magician” Hlali, who will face Saemapetch Fairtex in the co-main event; “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai, the Thai knockout artist who will face French phenom Bobo “The Panther” Sacko; and flying-knee KO specialist Juan Cervantes, who will face heavy-hitting Santino Verbeek.

These warriors should also be extra motivated to put on a show, get their hand raised, and prove they belong among the elite when they step under the lights of ONE Super Series.
