“The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan entered ONE Championship with a stellar reputation as China’s premier mixed martial artist, and she lived up to that billing in her promotional debut.
She met Team Lakay’s April Osenio at ONE: WARRIORS OF THE WORLD in Bangkok, Thailand, and gave the world a taste of her diverse skill set.
The Chinese combatant flashed some of the grappling expertise that earned her the 2017 China Open BJJ Championship, but the highlight of her debut was her aggressive boxing.
After sliding out of Xiong’s guillotine choke, Osenio invited her to stand and trade. “The Panda” obliged, marching forward and throwing left and right hooks until one blow landed flush and sent the Filipina to the ground.
As the Chinese athlete followed the Team Lakay strawweight to the mat to attack with more punches, the referee waved the bout off. The official stoppage time was 3:44 of round one, making this the second-fastest KO in women’s strawweight history.
Xiong went on to defeat Tiffany “No Chill” Teo a month later to claim the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight World Championship, and is set to make her first title defense in Macau against Laura Balin.
Jadambaa Knocks Out Edward Kelly’s Brother

After losing the ONE Featherweight World Title to Marat “Cobra” Gafurov in November 2015, Narantungalag “Tungaa” Jadambaa was determined to power his way back to the gold.
The Mongolian submitted former ONE Lightweight World Champion Kotetsu “No Face” Boku in May 2016, and then clashed with the Philippines’ Eric “The Natural” Kelly at ONE: DYNASTY OF CHAMPIONS (HEFEI) two months later.
That bout would come to a surprisingly quick end.
After measuring each other up, Jadambaa came forward and unloaded a massive right cross that dropped Kelly to the canvas. “Tungaa” followed up with a stiff punch to his dazed opponent, which prompted the referee to stop the contest and save “The Natural” from any further damage just 44 seconds in — the fifth-fastest knockout in ONE featherweight division history.
Now, Jadambaa is scheduled to meet Kelly’s younger brother, Edward, at ONE: PINNACLE OF POWER.

Jadambaa may have earned a fast featherweight knockout, but Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly recorded an even quicker one at ONE: GLOBAL SUPERHEROES in January.
The Filipino striker met then-unbeaten Cambodian debutant Meas Meul and, in front of a sold-out crowd in Manila’s Mall of Asia Arena, set a pair of records.
After eating an inside leg kick, Kelly unleashed a right-cross, lead-hook, right-knee combination that sent Meul crashing face-first onto the mat.
The referee jumped in to stop the contest at the 21-second mark of the opening stanza, giving the Baguio City native the records for fastest knockout and fastest overall finish in the history of ONE Championship’s featherweight division.
Kelly will now put his bout-ending power to the test against Jadambaa in Macau.

Alain “The Panther” Ngalani is the leader of the lightning-quick knockout club.
The four-time Muay Thai and kickboxing heavyweight world champion demonstrated his hard-hitting flair last September, facing former ONE Heavyweight World Title challenger Hideki “Shrek” Sekine at ONE: TOTAL VICTORY in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As soon as the opening bell rang, Sekine came to the center of the cage to tap gloves with the Hong Kong-based hulk, and immediately rushed forward to attempt a takedown.
Ngalani circled away from the Japanese grappling behemoth and, while backpedaling, launched a missile of a right hook to his adversary’s chin. The combination of precision, power and Sekine’s forward momentum was the perfect formula to send “Shrek” face-first onto the canvas.
The match was waved off after 11 seconds. It stands as the fastest finish of any kind in the history of ONE Championship’s heavyweight division.
For his next challenge, Ngalani will make his ONE Super Series debut in a kickboxing bout opposite two-time Superkombat Heavyweight World Champion Tarik Khbabez.
