5 Burning Questions Heading Into ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp Vs. Ham On Prime Video

The Singapore Indoor Stadium will soon play host to a stacked fight card topped by a trio of highly anticipated World Title battles.

ONE Fight Night 14: Stamp vs. Ham on Prime Video airs live in U.S. primetime this Friday, September 29, and it promises both drama and thrills from the opening bout to the massive main events.

Compelling storylines are everywhere. Before the action kicks off, we consider five burning questions that will be answered in the Circle.

#1 Can Stamp Become A Historic Three-Sport World Champion?

The main event will see former ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Stamp Fairtex attempt to make history and become an unprecedented three-sport queen when she faces South Korean star Ham Seo Hee for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title.

With her infectious charisma and a lengthy list of accomplishments in the striking world, the 25-year-old Thai has already established herself as a global superstar. But she could launch herself into a new stratosphere of fame – and the record books – if she captures MMA gold.

Of course, Ham is far from a pushover.

The decorated South Korean veteran has claimed prestigious titles in several MMA organizations, owns a lengthy nine-bout winning streak, and is renowned for her grit, toughness, and all-around skill set.

#2 Can Rodrigues End Sundell’s Reign Of Terror?

In one of the co-main events, ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will move up in weight to challenge Smilla “The Hurricane” Sundell for the strawweight Muay Thai gold.

Still just 18 years old – and the youngest World Champion in ONE history when she claimed the throne last year – Sundell has looked utterly dominant in the organization, rarely finding herself in a moment of danger against elite opposition.

Rodrigues, though, could be the striker who can make the Swedish phenom look human.

While she will be the smaller athlete on Friday night, the Brazilian might have the strategic savvy and refined Muay Thai technique to take out Sundell and achieve two-division glory in the process.

#3 Can Kelly Finally Win A World Title And Get Revenge?

In the evening’s first World Title clash, elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts Danielle Kelly and Jessa Khan will lock horns for the inaugural ONE Women’s Atomweight Submission Grappling World Title.

For the 27-year-old Kelly, this matchup – which has captured the attention of grappling fans around the planet – will be her opportunity to avenge a 2021 decision loss to Khan outside of ONE.

Since that defeat, the Philadelphia native has become a ONE superstar, producing three spectacular performances in the organization.

Kelly will now look to showcase her evolution, capture 26 pounds of gold, and prove she’s the best atomweight ground fighter in the world.

#4 Will The Xiong Vs. Wondergirl Special Rules Fight Start A Trend?

ONE Fight Night 14 will also feature a first-of-its-kind special rules striking contest between longtime ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Xiong Jing Nan and Muay Thai superstar Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak.

Employing a unique rule set similar to boxing but with 4-ounce MMA gloves, the matchup will be just the second special rules fight in ONE history.

Given each woman’s penchant for aggression and high-paced action, this unique bout is all but guaranteed to produce fireworks from the opening bell.

But when the dust settles on Friday night, will the clash between Xiong and “Wondergirl” kick off a slew of special rules fights in the future?

#5 Will A Bantamweight MMA World Title Challenger Emerge?

Fans won’t want to miss the high-stakes bantamweight MMA showdown between former titleholder John “Hands of Stone” Lineker and Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, which could produce the next challenger for divisional king Fabricio Andrade.

With Lineker and Loman ranked #1 and #2, respectively, the victor at ONE Fight Night 14 will be able to make a convincing argument for a World Title shot.

For “Hands of Stone,” this might be his last chance to earn another crack at rival Andrade. Meanwhile, Loman hopes to maintain his undefeated ONE record and live up to the lofty expectations surrounding him.

Bonus Question

Beyond the action in the Circle at ONE Fight Night 14, longtime ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion “Unstoppable” Angela Lee is slated to make an announcement about her future.

The titleholder has remained on the sidelines for all of 2023 following the tragic loss of her younger sister, Victoria Lee, late last year.

Recently, “Unstoppable” opened up about Victoria’s passing and detailed her work in creating Fightstory – a non-profit organization that combats mental illness and depression.

Curious minds will naturally wonder what Lee has in store. Will she retire from competition? Is she planning to return and take on the main event winner next? Those questions will be answered this Friday when Lee makes her appearance at the show in Singapore.
