Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy is hoping to make it four straight wins in ONE Super Series.

The rising star can extend his impressive run against #4-ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender Elias “The Sniper” Mahmoudi in the main event of ONE: FULL BLAST II, which airs on Friday, 11 June.

Before the Thai striking tactician faces the always formidable Algerian, we look at five things you must know about Mongkolpetch.

#1 Decorated Muay Thai Athlete

The Roi Et, Thailand, native may be fairly new to ONE Super Series, but he competed at an elite level on Thailand’s Muay Thai circuit.

The Petchyindee Academy representative is a former 130-pound Lumpinee Stadium World Champion, was named the 2017 Channel 7 Stadium Fighter Of The Year, and won the 2018 140-pound Toyota Marathon Tournament.

It might be fair to say that Mongkolpetch’s accomplishments were made possible by his decision to switch gyms in 2017, moving from a stable in Nonthaburi Province to one of Bangkok’s elite Muay Thai camps.

#2 Trains With ONE Super Series World Champions

After Mongkolpetch moved to Petchyindee Academy in Bangkok, he got the opportunity to train alongside some of ONE Super Series’ most dominant athletes.

ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy, ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Capitan Petchyindee Academy, and former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy all hone their craft at the famed gym.

Those world-class teammates have also led Mongkolpetch to great success on the global stage.

#3 Undefeated In ONE Super Series

Mongkolpetch entered The Home Of Martial Arts in January 2019, and since then, he’s beaten every man the organization has put in front of him.

First, the Thai defeated Alexi “Phet” Serepisos in his debut at ONE: ETERNAL GLORY. Eight months later, he scored a majority decision win over Joseph “The Hurricane” Lasiri at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH. And in his last conquest, Mongkolpetch emerged victorious against Kun Khmer Flyweight World Champion Sok Thy.

That success has also led to great things in the Muay Thai practitioner’s personal life.

Muay Thai rewards many of Thailand’s athletes for their hard work and determination – and Mongkolpetch is one such competitor who’s benefited.

The Petchyindee Academy standout just finished building a house for himself and his family in his home province of Roi Et, which is located in the northeast area of Thailand.

And to make that house a happy home, Mongkolpetch is also celebrating the birth of his son.

#5 Family Man

Mongkolpetch is training hard for his upcoming ONE Super Series clash, but when he’s not at the gym grinding, he enjoys spending time with his wife and his young son, Gao.

The striker was ecstatic about becoming a new father, and it might only be a matter of time before he introduces Gao to the world of Muay Thai.

But first, Mongkolpetch will introduce another man to his world – Elias Mahmoudi.
