Nong-O Gaiyanghadao is one of the most well-known Muay Thai practitioners in the modern era.
Considered one of the top pound-for-pound athletes in the sport, the Singapore-based Thai has joined ONE Championship, and is gearing up to make his highly-anticipated debut in ONE Super Series.
This coming Friday, 20 April, he will meet Fabio Pinca at ONE: HEROES OF HONOR in a Super Series Muay Thai bout. The event takes place at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.
Gaiyanghadao, known for his incredible speed and power, cannot wait to make a statement in his first contest for the world’s largest martial arts organization.
“Fans can expect to see an exciting, and entertaining match. I look forward to showing them the beauty of Muay Thai,” the 31-year-old states.
“ONE Super Series is going to be a massive platform for Muay Thai, and I am thankful and proud to be one of the first athletes to kick it off.”
Gaiyanghadao is a highly-decorated Muay Thai competitor. His many accomplishments include four Lumpinee Stadium world championships, a Rajadamnern Stadium world championship, a pair of Thailand national championships, and two “Fighter Of The Year” awards.
The Evolve MMA representative has competed against several fellow legends in his career, including the famed Saenchai, and even many of his Evolve teammates Petchboonchu F.A.Group, Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Sagetdao Petpayathai, and Orono Wor Petchpun.

His opponent, Pinca, however, is no pushover himself. After all, the Frenchman is a two-time WBC World May Thai Champion, and captured a Rajadamnern Stadium world championship of his own last year. But instead of power and speed, Pinca is known rather for his technical mastery and precision.
Despite the stylistic difference, and his rival’s credentials, Gaiyanghadao is not experiencing any stress.
“Pinca is a good athlete. He is well-rounded, and has good technique,” the Thai offers. “But I am not too worried about anything in particular. I am confident in my own abilities, and confident I will win this match.”
The ONE Super Series aims to provide the world’s best martial artists a global platform to showcase the beauty of Asia’s striking arts, such as Muay Thai, kickboxing, karate, taekwondo, kung fu, wushu, sanda, silat, lethwei, and more.
Although Gaiyanghadao is ready to make the rounds, and compete against world champions from other striking disciplines, he is most worried about giving a great performance in front of a global audience.
“I am not concerned about anything regarding my opponent. For my whole career, I have always focused on my own game, and what I am going to do when I get in the ring,” Gaiyanghadao explains.
“I respect my opponent, of course, but I am confident in my own ability, and I know I will get the win. I feel very proud to be able to compete in ONE Championship.
“I am extremely happy, and excited for this bout. ONE’s global platform is the biggest I have ever competed on, showcasing my talent to millions of people all over the world. I am confident, but nervous at the same time.”
