ONE Championship's Top 5 Heavyweight Knockouts
When the heavyweights of ONE Championship enter the Circle, you know there is a good chance of a knockout.
Athletes that weigh more than 100 kilograms pack an incredible amount of power in their strikes, which means they can end a contest in the blink of an eye with one perfect shot.
When those blows find their mark, fans are treated to some of the most spectacular stoppages in The Home Of Martial Arts
These are the top five knockouts from ONE’s biggest hitters.
#5 Alexandre Machado Vs. Hideki Sekine
Alexandre “Bebezao” Machado unleashed some astonishingly powerful ground and pound to finish Hideki “Shrek” Sekine in the second stanza.
What made this knockout even more impressive was that the Brazilian had to come back from being tossed all around the Circle by the Japanese wrestler in round one.
#4 Tarik Khbabez Vs. Alain Ngalani
The kickboxing freight train known as Tarik “The Tank” Khbabez started to roll through ONE Super Series when he met Alain Ngalani last year.
The Dutch-Moroccan – who is now 4-0 in The Home Of Martial Arts – never stopped moving forward and attacking, and he eventually got his reward when a hard right hand put his rival down late in the final round.
#3 Anderson Silva Vs. Andre Meunier
Anderson “Braddock” Silva connected with one of the best single punches ever thrown in the world’s largest martial arts organization when he faced Andre “The Giant” Meunier.
When the Aussie colossus charged, the Brazilian expertly stepped back and clubbed him with a short overhand right that sent his opponent crashing face-first onto the canvas.
#2 Alain Ngalani Vs. Mahmoud Hassan
Never has a more spectacular kick landed on the global stage than when Alain “The Panther” Ngalani unleashed this beauty on Mahmoud Hassan back in September 2013.
The Cameroonian giant only succeeded in landing a glancing blow, but it was thrown with such speed and force, that was all he needed. A few follow-up punches finished the job.
#1 Brandon Vera Vs. Mauro Cerilli
Brandon “The Truth” Vera made a spectacular return to ONE Championship last November after two years away with this sensational one-punch KO.
At ONE: CONQUEST OF CHAMPIONS, the ONE Heavyweight World Champion caught the oncoming Mauro “The Hammer” Cerilli with a perfect left hook and ended his evening in an instant.
