Tarik “The Tank” Khbabez was an unstoppable force in his first four ONE Super Series bouts, as he scored four straight victories. But his longtime rival, Roman Kryklia, brought his momentum to a crashing halt at ONE: AGE OF DRAGONS in Beijing, China back in November 2019.

Kryklia ate some massive shots from the Dutch-Moroccan slugger in the opening stanza, but he was ready for him at the start of the second frame.

The Ukrainian scored with a chopping right hand and right head kick in the early seconds of the round, and then a pair of left hands dropped Khbabez to the mat.

When “The Tank” got back up, the Gridin Gym representative put the pressure on again. A flurry of knees and punches forced the referee to give the man from The Hague a standing eight-count.

Khbabez valiantly tried to continue, but a pair of right hands and a final left hook sealed the deal for Kryklia, who won the inaugural ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Championship and avenged his 2015 loss to the Dutch-Moroccan in the process.

In December 2019, power-punching Romanian Andrei “Mister KO” Stoica showed the global fanbase how he earned his nickname with a stunning first-round knockout over Anderson “Braddock” Silva at ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Stoica took some time to figure out his rival, but when he saw his openings and started to load up on his power, the finish quickly followed.

A thudding left hook to the chin caused Silva to stagger back, and a second one narrowly missed the mark as he walked his man down. However, “Braddock” was not out of the woods.

The Romanian let rip with a thunderous right hand, which folded the Brazilian and left him in a crumpled heap against the Circle Wall.

Silva showed his own KO power when he welcomed Beybulat Isaev to the world’s largest martial arts organization at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam back in September 2019.

Heavy leather came from both sides, but it was “Braddock” who left victorious thanks to a concussive barrage of strikes from close quarters late in the first round.

The Brazilian initially hurt his foe with a hard straight right, and then he chased the Russian around the ring to try and find a finishing shot.

Silva caught up with him against the ropes, where he landed a sharp hook-cross and then a hard left knee to the body.

As Isaev stumbled forward, “Braddock” clubbed him with a pair of right hands over the top, and then he ended the contest in spectacular fashion with a crunching right uppercut through the middle.

In October 2018, Khbabez met fellow Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer Ibrahim “Mr. Cool” El Bouni at ONE: PURSUIT OF GREATNESS in Yangon, Myanmar, and he rallied late to get a hard-earned finish over his compatriot.

Their contrasting styles made for an entertaining battle.

“Mr. Cool” slipped and moved, while “The Tank” charged forward with hard punches that put El Bouni down twice in the second stanza.

Khbabez’s relentless forward pressure finally paid off in the third and final round. He backed his countryman up with constant hooks to the head and body, and then he finished El Bouni with a blitz of left hooks in the waning seconds of the contest.
