The Best Pictures From ONE 172: Takeru Vs. Rodtang

On Sunday, March 23, ONE Championship returned to Japan for one of the biggest fight cards in the promotion’s history.
ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang went down at the legendary Saitama Super Arena – and the event was a smashing hit.
In the main event, Thai fan favorite Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon collided with Japanese megastar Takeru “The Natural Born Crusher” Segawa in a flyweight kickboxing super-fight the world had been waiting for.
Rodtang needed less than two minutes to land a show-stopping left hook that sent Takeru down for the count and left the Japanese crowd absolutely stunned.
Before that, local hero Masaaki Noiri picked up a career-defining win – and one of the biggest upsets in recent memory – when he scored a third-round stoppage against Tawanchai PK Saenchai to claim the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title.
In other World Title action, Italian-Canadian phenom Jonathan Di Bella outpointed legendary veteran Sam-A Gaiyanghadao to capture the interim strawweight kickboxing crown, and “The Queen” Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom extended her incredible reign of terror to retain the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title against Kana “Krusher Queen” Morimoto.
Plus, Japanese superstar Yuya “Little Piranha” Wakamatsu lit Saitama Super Arena on fire with his sensational first-round TKO of former foe Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes to win the vacant ONE Flyweight MMA World Title.
