The Best Pictures From ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai Vs. Superbon
After a stellar year of martial arts action, ONE Championship closed out its 2023 events calendar with ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon – the biggest card in Muay Thai history – at the world-famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, December 22.
Following multiple postponements, the global fan base finally witnessed two of the greatest pound-for-pound strikers on the planet collide, as ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai defended his gold against former featherweight kickboxing king and #1-ranked contender Superbon Singha Mawynn.
The Thai superstars went toe-to-toe for five competitive rounds, but Tawanchai ultimately defeated his challenger via majority decision to retain his coveted belt in front of his compatriots.
Speaking of Tawanchai, his idol Prajanchai PK Saenchai earned a slice of redemption in his co-main event rematch with Joseph Lasiri.
Prajanchai knocked out the Italian-Moroccan dynamo in 88 seconds to unify the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title and even the score in their rivalry 1-1.
Also, “The Queen” Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom shocked the global fan base when she beat the best female pound-for-pound striker on the planet, Anissa Meksen, via unanimous decision to claim the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title.
