The Stars Predict Superbon Singha Mawynn Vs. Chingiz Allazov World Title Bout At ONE Fight Night 6

Superbon Singha Mawynn successfully defends the Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship against Marat Grigorian at ONE X

After a couple of false starts, the two best pound-for-pound kickboxers on the planet will finally square off in a matchup for the ages.

Superbon Singha Mawynn and Chingiz Allazov have been scheduled to face off twice already, and their monumental contest will headline ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video this Friday, January 13.

Reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon is putting his gold on the line against surging #1 contender Allazov, who dominated the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix to earn this opportunity.

Both strikers are riding waves of positive momentum into this battle at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, and they’re ready to put their elite but contrasting skill sets to the test live in U.S. primetime.

Just like martial arts fans, the stars of ONE Championship are eager to see this matchup play out. And with fight night days away, some of those athletes are sharing their predictions for Friday’s massive main event.

Reinier De Ridder

“Great fight, man. I’m very excited about that one. Superbon defeated Marat [Grigorian] last time. Marat trains in the same city as I do, at Hemmers Gym. I go train with them every once in a while, and it was crazy seeing how well Superbon did [against him].

“His teeps are on another level. His knees are crazy. Everything is coming together for him right now. So that’s amazing. But Chingiz looked unstoppable last time as well. So that’s a fight that I’m really looking forward to.”

“They’re both killers, man. That’s going to be an exciting fight to watch, to be honest. As I said, they’re both killers, and they’re both world-renowned kickboxers.

“I don’t see it really going to a decision. They both go for the kill every single time. So we’ll see what happens.”

Liam Harrison

“Tough fight. Very tough fight. If anyone is going to be able to take the belt away from Superbon, it’s Allazov because he’s an animal. But in the performances Superbon has been putting on so far against similar guys like Marat Grigorian, he didn’t really get touched, and it was beautiful to watch, poetry in motion. So, if he fights like that then I can’t see Allazov touching him.

“But it only takes one mistake. Allazov has got nasty power in his kicks and punches. Superbon will have to be on the top of his game, and if he is, he’ll win.”

Janet Todd

“Oh, man. I don’t know. That could be anyone’s game. But I’m a huge fan of Superbon. It’s a treat for everybody. Whoever comes out on top, that’s a fight to watch. It’s going to be a good fight.”

Aung La N Sang

“That’s a tough one. Chingiz is always in phenomenal shape and is a special athlete. For Superbon, it really depends. In some fights, I’ve seen him not so sharp. In some fights, I’ve seen him as mind-blowingly good. I think I’m gonna go with Superbon in this one.

“But I mean, Chingiz is fast and long too. Very long and very tall. I don’t know, man. I think it could go either way. In terms of hands, Chingiz is better. This is a toss-up. I can’t really predict who’s going to win. I can’t say for certain that Superbon is going to beat Chingiz because that guy is fast. I’ve seen him move in the gym. This guy is agile and fast, so it’ll be a great show for sure.”

Demetrious Johnson

“I think it’s going to be a great fight. Chingiz is pretty legit. Superbon obviously is one of the best to ever do it. He knocked out Giorgio Petrosyan. So it will come down to whoever is gonna do their style.”

Joseph Lasiri

“It’s a very big fight. Now we see a different Allazov. Allazov is ready for the fight. He comes back training hard. I’m really excited to see it, but I’m more excited to see Superbon’s rematch against Giorgio Petrosyan.”

Joshua Pacio

“This honestly is a hard one to pick. I know for sure it’s going to be an exciting fight.

“Superbon isn’t your typical Muay Thai kickboxer. He’s always in front of his opponent and willing to trade. But he also has fantastic timing and footwork. What he did to Giorgio Petrosyan was shocking. Although Chingiz Allazov will give him a good fight, I still think Superbon has this one in the bag.”

Ekaterina Vandaryeva

“I hope Chingiz wins. He’s a rare man in our sport. As a rule, people who come to combat sports and succeed there are those with hard stories of hard and poor childhoods. They overcome obstacles, trying to escape from this environment to seek a better life. Chingiz is from a well-off family, but he is also very gifted. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard in the gym. He is a phenomenon.

“He sacrifices a lot. He puts in a lot of work. He doesn’t see his family sometimes for a long time. He deserves to win.

“His opponent is not an easy one. Superbon has a unique style. It certainly will be a spectacular and exciting fight. I don’t know if Allazov has any weaknesses. I think if he has the right mindset, he will do the right thing in the Circle.”

Danial Williams

“It’s so interesting in kickboxing. The techniques are just incredible. There are always like small margins in the fight. It’s always a hard one for me to pick. I think Superbon, just with his kicks that he has to stop the boxing of Allazov, I give a slight edge to him. He’s pretty good with his game plan as well, so I think Superbon might just edge it.”
