Yosuke “The Ninja” Saruta’s greatest weapon against Joshua “The Passion” Pacio also became his undoing.

The Japanese titleholder dropped the Team Lakay representative with an overhand right in the opening frame of their ONE Strawweight World Title rematch at ONE: ROOTS OF HONOR in April, but he was not able to replicate that success later on.

In the fourth round, “The Ninja” dipped to throw another powerful right hand in Pacio’s direction, just as “The Passion” had taken aim with his own right high kick.

The Filipino’s powerful strike met his opponent’s forward momentum at the perfect moment. His knee landed on the temple to score a face-plant KO and regain the World Championship.

Saygid “Dagi” Guseyn Arslanaliev booked his ticket to the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix final with a spectacular victory over Singapore’s Amir Khan at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON in May.

“Dagi” first controlled the action with his wrestling, but when both competitors returned to their feet, he exploded for the finish.

The Turkish phenom backed his rival to the ropes, feinted with his jab, and then dipped in with a right hand. His first shot did not land, but the follow-ups did.

A left hook turned Khan’s chin into a looping right, and then a pair of tight uppercuts crumpled him to the canvas.

Multiple-time kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre spoiled “Super” Sage Northcutt’s entrance onto the global stage for martial arts with a devastating 29-second KO at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON.

Alexandre quickly took note of Northcutt’s mistakes as the American circled into his power side with his lead hand low.

When he stepped into punching range and started to paw out a loose jab, “Good Boy” unleashed a crunching right hand over the top, which landed hard on his rival’s cheekbone.

The Brazilian landed another left hook as “Super” Sage flopped to the mat, but the damage had already been done. Alexandre picked up the win in a glorious return to mixed martial arts competition.

Miao Li Tao showcased the power of his striking arsenal when he knocked out former ONE Strawweight World Champion Dejdamrong “Kru Rong” Sor Amnuaysirichoke at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON.

Miao used his wrestling effectively in the early running, but his chance to end the match surprisingly came on the feet against the legendary Muay Thai World Champion.

Dejdamrong tried to jab to keep his rival off, but the Chinese athlete stepped in with a right hand to get his attention.

With the Thai’s hands low, Miao then threw a stiff left hook, which landed on the point of the chin and immediately separated “Kru Rong” from his senses.

ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen successfully defended his World Title in emphatic fashion against Narantungalag “Tungaa” Jadambaa at ONE: ROOTS OF HONOR.

Nguyen laid the foundations by connecting with low kicks to the challenger’s calf, and a minute into the second stanza, it was clear they had taken their toll.

Jadambaa limped away from one strike to the lower leg, and then another forced him to hop backward and drop his guard, clearly in pain.

“The Situ-Asian” made the most of the opening and went airborne with a flying switch-knee, which landed on the chin and knocked out the Mongolian veteran.
