If there was supposed to be a changing of the guard at ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS last November, nobody told 41-year-old Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke.

Instead, Dejdamrong’s lifelong martial arts experience showed itself in the first two rounds, as his kicks disrupted Muhammad “The Spider” Imran‘s rhythm and kept his adversary at bay.

The two warriors then opened the third round by trading heavy leather. But that battle would prove to be the Pakistani athlete’s downfall, as the former ONE Strawweight World Champion started landing his strikes cleanly.

Soon, Dejdamrong clinched up with his foe and delivered bruising knees up the center to the body of Imran. The Thai knew he was on the verge of a finish and continued landing knees to both the body and the head.

After one final knee to the head, Imran fell to the mat and covered up. Dejdamrong followed that with a few ground-and-pound shots before the referee slid in to make the save.

The Thai will look to impress in his bout against “Wolf Of The Grasslands” Hexigetu next Friday.

Khan Extends His KO Record

From the opening bell of his fight at ONE: UNSTOPPABLE DREAMS in May 2018, Amir Khan was on point.

In a high-paced first round, Khan went back and forth with South Korean grappler Sung Jong Lee, and he displayed excellent submission defense and superior striking.

The South Korean continued to look for submissions in the second frame, but the Singaporean remained calm, defended smartly, and peppered his foe with strikes.

After Lee failed on a heel hook attempt, the Singaporean bounced up quickly and began dropping heavy ground-and-pound. The Evolve star then landed a dagger of a left knee to the body and threw countless right hands until the referee stopped the bout.

The Singaporean earned the stoppage win and also extended his record for most knockouts in ONE history with eight.

At ONE: REIGN OF DYNASTIES, Khan will look to replicate that magic against Rahul “The Kerala Krusher” Raju.

This past February at ONE: WARRIOR’S CODE, Josh “Timebomb” Tonna grabbed a highlight-reel victory and punched his ticket to the upcoming ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title fight.

After going toe-to-toe with five-time Muay Thai World Champion Andy “Punisher” Howson in the first round, the Aussie started to gain the upper hand in the second frame, where he found a home for his left knee to the body.

As the clock entered the final minute of the stanza, a right hook from Tonna forced “Punisher” to his left side.

The Australian then controlled Howson’s head with his right hand while using his left to drive the Brit’s face into his knee. Despite “Punisher” managing to answer the count, the referee looked into his eyes and saw that he was in no shape to continue.

That victory made Tonna the #1-ranked contender in the ONE Super Series Muay Thai strawweight division and paved the way for a World Title shot at the man below.

Sam-A Gaiyanghadao made the inaugural ONE Super Series Muay Thai strawweight contest a memorable one with a second-round knockout of Daren Rolland at ONE: CENTURY in October 2019.

The two athletes were competitive through the first round, and it was actually the Parisian who scored the stanza’s best blow when he dropped the living legend to one knee with a stiff right hand. However, Sam-A bounced back to his feet quickly.

Though Rolland tried to keep up his momentum in the second round, the Evolve athlete wouldn’t allow it. Instead, Sam-A pelted his opponent’s right leg with hard left kicks.

After another stinging inside left leg kick, Rolland threw a left hook-straight right combination, which the Singapore-based Thai avoided. Then, the living legend responded with a short left hand that sent the Frenchman to the canvas.

As the referee administered the count, Rolland rolled over to his back – arms outstretched – and never made it to his feet, allowing Sam-A to celebrate his handiwork.
