Drawing from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and judo, these multi-faceted warriors are always a few seconds away from defeating their rivals with mesmerizing chokes and joint locks.

Hometown hero Stamp Fairtex may hold the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Titles, but the lifelong striker has been working diligently on rounding out her game for mixed martial arts competition.

The 22-year-old Thai showed her evolution in her bout with Asha “Knockout Queen” Roka at ONE: DREAMS OF GOLD last August, as she dominated on the ground and sealed a third-round finish.

Stamp tripped her foe to the canvas, moved straight to mount, and drilled “Knockout Queen” with hard punches until the Indian turned away and surrendered her back.

With the finesse of a veteran, the Fairtex representative quickly put her hooks in to secure control and then chipped away with more shots until there was an opening to slide her left arm underneath Roka’s chin. Moments later, the local favorite forced the tap via rear-naked choke.

Stamp will attempt to extend her unbeaten streak in her third sport against India’s Puja “The Cyclone” Tomar on Friday.

He may have earned his nickname for his powerful striking, but “Cannon” Ma Jia Wen displayed his world-class grappling repertoire to defeat Ahmed “Wolverine” Mujtaba at ONE: VISIONS OF VICTORY in March 2018.

After stuffing the Pakistani’s takedown attempt early in the second frame, Ma strategically passed his rival’s guard. Just as it looked like “Wolverine” had found a way out against the fence, the 23-year-old quickly regained control and moved to his back.

The Chinese star did not even wait until he had an arm underneath the chin to dial up the pressure. Instead, he wrapped his left arm over Mujtaba’s jaw and squeezed with all his might to elicit the tap.

This Friday, Ma returns to action for the first time since June 2018. He meets ONE Warrior Series graduate, Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg, in a featherweight clash.

Ayaka Miura showcased her elite judo skills in her promotional debut against Laura “La Gladiadora” Balin at ONE: CALL TO GREATNESS last February.

The 29-year-old Japanese athlete tossed the former ONE Women’s Strawweight World Title challenger to the canvas with a beautiful hip throw in the opening moments of their contest, and then she immediately set to work on her favorite submission.

Miura established a scarfhold side control position and stuffed Balin’s forearm between her legs. From there, the Tokyo resident pushed her hips forward to quickly crank on the Americana shoulder lock for a flawless first-round victory.

In the Thai capital, the third-degree judo black belt will face ONE newcomer Maira Mazar.

Indonesian veteran Yohan “The Iceman” Mulia Legowo picked up the fifth submission win of his career over countryman Mario Satya Wirawan at ONE: TRIBE OF WARRIORS in February 2016.

Wirawan tried to take the 39-year-old pioneer down against the fence. But when he dropped down for the hips, “The Iceman” was primed and ready to attack.

Legowo threaded his left arm underneath his opponent’s chin and stayed on his feet until he felt he had the right angle of attack. Then, he jumped guard to tie Wirawan up and keep him in position.

With a few final grip adjustments, “The Iceman” tightened up his guillotine choke and got the finish in under two minutes.

The well-respected Indonesian veteran will kick off the event against Filipino talent Roel Rosauro on Friday.
