ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao successfully defended his gold and earned a highlight-reel knockout for the ages.

The legend nearly finished his compatriot, Saemapetch Fairtex, in the second round of the main event. Nong-O dropped him with a series of rapid-fire uppercuts for the first official knockdown of the contest, and then, he crumpled the challenger with more uppercuts at the very end of the stanza.

Though Saemapetch survived the period and returned with a new fire, the Thai legend would extinguish the flame. In the fourth round, Nong-O stepped forward with a right cross, which landed on the button and put his countryman down for good.

With performances like this, it will take something extremely special to knock the bantamweight king off his throne.

Former ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva has taken another big step towards reclaiming his coveted belt. The Singapore-based Brazilian recovered from adversity to notch his second-consecutive armbar submission win.

Despite being rocked by a right cross from his Chinese rival Peng Xue Wen in the opening stanza, Silva recovered and came out with a vengeance in round two.

“Little Rock” mixed boxing with takedown attempts throughout the period, but in the final minute, he struck gold. He tripped Peng to the canvas, quickly jumped into full-mount, and then rolled for an armbar and got an instantaneous tap.

If Silva can get a few more exciting victories like this, then he will challenge for the belt again in no time.

Bantamweight star “Pretty Boy” Troy Worthen is emerging as a legitimate contender.

The Singapore-based American extended his undefeated run by displaying his dominance against Chinese hero “Rock Man” Chen Lei.

After hitting a takedown early in the second round, Worthen an NCWA Wrestling Champion softened “Rock Man” up and transitioned to more favorable positions until he reached back mount. From there, he unloaded rights and lefts until the referee called the bout.

Since joining The Home Of Martial Arts in July, “Pretty Boy” has not looked threatened in the ring at all. In 2020, fans should expect to see the American take a step up in competition.

When Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy is in this kind of irresistible form, he will be tough to beat in the ONE Super Series featherweight division.

The 25-year-old competed under his preferred Muay Thai rule set following a trio of kickboxing bouts earlier this year, and he put on a showcase of his country’s national art to finish Charlie “Boy” Peters in the second round.

After a competitive first round, Petchmorakot stepped up a gear to overwhelm the English athlete. He first went down from the force of a barrage of elbows and knees, and then he was finished when the man from Bangkok shot another left knee into his solar plexus.

The Petchyindee Academy representative’s last KO on the global stage against Liam “Hitman” Harrison was special, but this one in “The Lion City” may have been even better.
