Sok Thy had fallen short against elite competition ever since making his promotional debut two years ago.

But at ONE: A NEW BREED, the Cambodian hard-hitter showed the world why he’s consistently matched up against the flyweight division’s top fighters.

Thy held a high guard as he moved in toward Huang Ding. Once within range, he threw his patented left hook, right cross, and leg kicks at the Chinese striker.

In the final seconds of the opening stanza, the Cambodian caught his taller rival’s right roundhouse kick and then launched an overhand right at the sternum. A few seconds later, Huang felt the aftereffects of the body shot, hunched over, and fell to the mat.

The referee counted him out, which gave Thy the first-round knockout win.

#4 Wondergirl Overwhelms Farrell

It’s safe to say that Wondergirl Fairtex kicked off her ONE career on solid ground.

The 21-year-old Thai produced a pair of explosive showings this quarter, but there was something extra special about her 81-second debut victory at ONE: NO SURRENDER III.

After a brief feeling-out process, Wondergirl laid the leather on Brooke Farrell. She rattled the Aussie with a right cross and then dropped her with a cross-hook-cross combo in the bout’s first minute.

Though Farrell answered the referee’s count, she wouldn’t remain standing for long. The Fairtex product aggressively fired piston-like jabs and crosses until her rival went down for good.

#3 Supergirl Carries On Family Legacy

At just 16 years old, Supergirl Jaroonsak Muaythai displayed the poise of an established veteran in her promotional debut.

Just like her older sister, Wondergirl, the striking prodigy valiantly stepped onto the global stage for the first time and defeated an older foe in Argentinian striker Milagros Lopez at ONE: A NEW BREED II in one minute flat.

Supergirl willingly engaged with her rival, and when Lopez threw a leg kick, the Thai responded with a cross straight down the pipe that sent her to the ground.

Although the Argentine returned to her feet, she did not stay there for much longer. The two continued to engage and then simultaneously caught each other with jabs.

Both of their heads rocked back, but the Jaroonsak Muaythai representative finished her combination with another powerful cross, which put Lopez down for good.

#2 Kulabdam Stuns Sangmanee

For years, Muay Thai fans had hoped to see superstars “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai and “The Million Dollar Baby” Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort stand toe-to-toe in the ring.

They got their wish when the duo collided in the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament semifinal round at ONE: NO SURRENDER III, but no one could have predicted the outcome.

Kulabdam methodically utilized leg kicks and his fierce boxing to keep his compatriot’s attention, while Sangmanee did his best to evade the strikes and retaliate with power shots.

However, in the waning moments of the round, “Left Meteorite” unleashed a four-punch combination to seal the deal.

He connected with a jab and a left hook before missing with a right uppercut. Then, as “The Million Dollar Baby” backed up, Kulabdam fired a devastating left cross that connected flush on the chin and immediately crumbled Sangmanee to the mat.

The surprising outcome sent Kulabdam through to the tournament final.

#1 Capitan Makes History

Capitan Petchyindee Academy may have authored the most unforgettable ONE debut of all time.

At ONE: A NEW BREED III, the 27-year-old striker knocked out six-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Petchtanong Petchfergus in six seconds – the fastest victory ever recorded in ONE Super Series.

Once the opening bell rang, it appeared as if the smiling Petchtanong was going to draw first blood. He immediately threw a jab to measure his distance, but Capitan surprised the veteran when he batted down the punch, bounced forward with a jab of his own, and unleashed a powerful right cross to the southpaw’s chin.

That punch immediately sent Petchtanong crashing to the canvas. The referee waved off the match, giving Capitan the six-second win that etched his name in the history books.
