As the CEO of ONE Championship (ONE), it is no surprise that Victor Cui is regularly recognized as one of the most powerful men in Asian MMA. You only have to see Cui’s personal background to understand why his career trajectory has created a brand new paradigm for sports marketing in Asia.

Prior to launching ONE Championship, Cui spent six years with the Event Management Group for Asia’s number one sports broadcaster – ESPN Star Sports (ESS). There, he successfully headed event business development across Asia, and project-led some of the biggest sporting properties and television event partnerships in the region.

In the years before his stint with ESS, Cui was the Director of Communications for the PGA Tour – Golf Canada. During that same period, he also served as the Managing Editor for Canada’s number one golf publication. Combined, these roles have enabled Cui to put several notches of international sporting experience and marketing communications on his belt.

He is thrilled and proud to have played a part in global sporting events the likes of the Commonwealth Games in Malaysia, World Championships in Spain (‘99) and Edmonton (’01), the Sydney Olympics, PGA Tour Bell Canadian Open Championship, LPGA Tour BMO Women’s Open, X Games Asia, World Series of Pool, and World Futsal. He also successfully led a series of 12 Martial Combat MMA events.
