काजूनोरी योकोटा

Two-division DEEP Champion Kazunori Yokota comes from a sporting family, and started learning judo when he was just 7 years old. He made his professional cage debut in 2004, and went on to establish himself as one of the most successful martial artists in Japan.

In 2007, he won the DEEP lightweight title after beating reigning champion Nobuhiro Obiya by unanimous decision. In 2011, after a run of tough losses, Yokota dropped to featherweight, and it would prove to be a life-changing move for him, as he proceeded to take that division by storm as well.

He put together an incredible 13-bout, five-year win streak which saw him defeat some of Japan’s best athletes. He also captured and defended the DEEP featherweight title in the process, making him a two-division champion with the organization. Those tremendous accolades led him to ONE Championship in 2016, and he plans to cap off an amazing career with a world title on the global stage.
