That title pairs nicely with his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai championship, and each belt has only increased his appetite for gold. “I want Andrade’s MMA belt,” said Haggerty. “I want to be ONE’s MMA bantamweight champion.”

Tye and Kade Ruotolo have been going to war on the grappling mats ever since they began training in the sport at age 3.

The twin brothers are currently undefeated under the ONE Championship banner while wreaking havoc in separate weight classes. The possibility of the Ruotolos facing each other in a grappling match in ONE has been a hot topic of conversation among fans of late.

Canadian-born MMA heavyweight Ben “Vanilla Thunder” Tynan leaves Bangkok, Thailand, with a US$50,000 bonus after winning his debut in the ONE Championship promotion. The 29-year-old Tynan (5-0-0) submitted South Korean Ji Won “Mighty Warrior” Kang (6-2-0) on Friday night’s ONE Fight Night 16 card.

Sityodtong feels that factor only strengthens his claim. He said the difference in levels between ONE and the UFC is “not even close.”

Now he has been backed by two of his biggest-name champions, Jonathan Haggerty and Fabricio Andrade, who will battle for the vacant bantamweight kickboxing title in Bangkok on Saturday morning.
