Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 19 On June 2
A stacked card is set for ONE Championship’s latest weekly offering at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, June 2.
ONE Friday Fights 19 will showcase some of the most popular names from the world of Muay Thai, and it will also feature a plethora of exciting rising stars from the MMA and kickboxing ranks.
In the main event, Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai will square off against Ilyas Musaev in a bantamweight Muay Thai clash between two big hitters.
Kulabdam is a two-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, and he’ll return to the iconic arena for his third ONE Friday Fights appearance with the intention of getting back on the winning track.
“Left Meteorite” looked sensational when he registered a decision win over his old foe Sangmanee PK Saenchai in January, but he was stopped by his longtime rival Muangthai PK Saenchai after a thrilling battle in March.
Musaev is also back for his third outing on the show.
The Russian opened his slate with a second-round KO over Panrit Lukjaomaesaiwaree in February, but following a tough decision loss to Yodphupa Wimanair a month later, he’s eager to resume his climb up the bantamweight mountain.
In the co-main event, three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Ronachai Tor Ramintra will make his ONE debut against fellow promotional newcomer Aekkalak Sor Samarngarment in a 124-pound catchweight Muay Thai showdown.
Ronachai earned the Lumpinee Fighter of the Year award in 2015 and was voted Sports Authority of Thailand Fighter of the Year in 2022. However, his foe, Aekkalak, is back from a brief retirement and motivated to impress on the organization’s huge global platform.
In the night’s lone kickboxing clash, Kaonar Sor Jor Thongprajin hopes his vast Muay Thai experience will pay off against undefeated star Elbrus Osmanov.
Osmanov pushed his perfect record to 7-0 with a stunning knockout victory over Paedsanlek PK Saenchai in his promotional debut this past February, but Kaonar is a Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion who brings an astonishing 180-47-3 slate into the contest.
Fans will soon find out if the Thai has the wisdom and patience to stay composed under the heavy fire of the “Dagestan Samurai.”
There’s also a captivating pair of MMA bangers on the card, including a bantamweight tilt between Chen Rui and Drex Zamboanga.
Both men often deliver compelling performances that gets the crowd on its feet, so fans shouldn’t blink when they touch gloves in the center of the ring.
