Teaching Thai And Reaching Fans: How Stamp Fairtex Uses Social Media To Grow Her Star Power

Stamp Fairtex has made a name for herself with her incredible accomplishments under ONE Championship’s bright lights, but she’s pushed her global superstardom to even greater heights through her engaging social media presence.
The reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion is currently working hard to return from a serious knee injury that sidelined her in 2024.
In between training sessions, she often takes time to post on social media, where she has amassed millions of followers across various platforms.
The Thai loves to entertain fans with creative content, recently beginning to teach her language through short videos.
She spoke to onefc.com about the value of maintaining an interesting online presence when she’s not fighting:
“Social media is very important for an athlete’s career because if we work hard to create content and post clips to promote ourselves often, we will be able to expand our fan base.”
As a former ONE World Champion in both kickboxing and Muay Thai, the three-sport sensation has already done plenty inside the ring and Circle to cement herself as a true icon of combat sports.
Meanwhile, her social media presence is the cherry on top of her status as an international megastar.
While Stamp maintains active accounts on Instagram and Facebook, she has a clear favorite among the different platforms, although she admits it can sometimes become overwhelming:
“I like TikTok the most. It’s fun to watch and easy to follow trends. But the downside is that it takes up a lot of my time. A few hours will pass before you know it, so I have to control myself not to spend time with it too much.”
Among the 27-year-old’s most popular content series are videos in which she teaches her global fan base some basic Thai phrases and words.
These lighthearted clips aren’t meant to be a formal teaching tool – but rather a little insight into Stamp’s sense of humor and how Thais communicate:
“It’s not as much about teaching. I just want to make fun videos. Actually, one of my teammates wanted me to teach the Thai language, so I started doing it, but just for fun. I don’t plan to teach seriously.”
Balancing Social Media With Fighting
As active as she is on social media, it’s no surprise that Stamp Fairtex has experienced the double-edged sword of her prolific online presence.
There are plenty of positives but also some negatives that come along with it, she explained:
“Social media has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that it makes us more popular, but the disadvantage is that some trolls just come for trash talk and to criticize us, which we have to let go of and not pay attention to.”
Of course, the titleholder’s content isn’t limited to language lessons.
With her finger always on the pulse of what’s popular, she regularly participates in viral trends and loves to showcase her ever-improving English skills.
Stamp’s favorite English phrase, she said, is one that pushes her forward, whether it’s learning a new language or continuing on in her demanding training camp:
“[My favorite phrase is] ‘good job.’ It’s the word I like to say to encourage myself the most when I practice and succeed in doing something difficult.”
