Ham Seo Hee Vs. Itsuki Hirata Rebooked For ONE Fight Night 8 On March 24

South Korean superstar Ham Seo Hee and Japanese phenom Itsuki Hirata are on a collision course once again after their originally scheduled encounter fell through last November.

Hirata missed weight and hydration for their atomweight MMA bout at ONE 163, but the two athletes have now agreed to square off at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on Friday, March 24.

Ham refused to negotiate a catchweight fight at ONE 163, and Hirata knows there will be no room for error while preparing for this matchup at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

But despite the setback last time, there’s still plenty of interest in this battle given Ham’s reputation as a top-flight veteran and “Android 18’s” status as a rising star.

“Hamzzang” owns an impressive 25-8 MMA record, with an eight-fight winning streak and a perfect 2-0 slate in ONE so far.

Known for her intense and entertaining fighting style, Ham utilizes a relentless striking game, but she’s also shown her versatility in back-to-back wins over Denice Zamboanga

Now ranked #2 in the women’s atomweight division, the Team Mad representative is gunning for a World Title shot, but she’ll need to get past a burgeoning talent in Hirata.

Conversely, “Android 18” is hoping to take out an elite, battle-hardened campaigner and thrust herself right into the division’s upper echelon.

The 23-year-old former judoka has been most effective with her takedowns and ground game so far in her MMA career, but she’s also made big strides with her striking during recent training camps in the United States.

In her last outing, Hirata bounced back from her first defeat by earning a clear-cut decision victory over Lin Heqin, and she’s now 6-1 with four finishes as a professional.

The originally scheduled bout between Ham and Hirata was touted as a potential World Title eliminator, and the winner on March 24 could make a strong case to challenge for atomweight gold in the near future.
