Roberto Soldic Vs. Zebaztian Kadestam Booked For ONE Fight Night 10 In Colorado
Zebaztian Kadestam and Roberto Soldic are officially set to clash in a battle between two of the hardest-hitting welterweight MMA athletes in the world.
The concussive strikers will duke it out at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video, which airs live from 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, on Friday, May 5.
Headlined by a ONE Flyweight World Title trilogy bout between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes, the event is ONE’s first foray into North America, and Soldic vs. Kadestam is a major addition to the already stacked lineup.
Known as “The Bandit,” Kadestam is a former ONE Welterweight World Champion with fight-ending power in all of his limbs.
The Swedish slugger has scored 12 knockouts in 14 career victories, and after losing his gold, he’s returned to form with back-to-back KOs in his last two outings.
Kadestam is willing to go toe-to-toe with anybody on the feet, but he’ll have his work cut out against “Robocop.”
Soldic was the hottest free agent in MMA when he signed to compete in ONE last year. The 28-year-old dominated the European scene with explosive striking and reached the top as a two-division KSW Champion.
With 17 knockouts in his 20 career victories, the Croatian can match Kadestam when it comes to dispatching his opponents inside the distance, and their matchup is likely to produce fireworks.
Soldic debuted in ONE last December against Murad Ramazanov, but that bout ended in a disappointing no contest, so he’ll be even more fired up to showcase his skills on the global stage.
Given Kadestam’s status as a former welterweight MMA king and Soldic’s position as the division’s most talked-about rising star, there’s something to gain for both men in this matchup – potentially even a shot at World Title gold.
However it plays out, fans will be the real winners when these certified finishing machines square off inside the Circle on May 5.
